This definition is constantly expanding to include more digital outlets as new opportunities arise. In 2013, 76% of people perceived that marketing had changed more meaningfully in the past two years than the previous fifty. Since 2013, internet marketing has continued to grow and improve to the point that the worldwide digital ad spend is expected to grow to over $375 billion by 2021. Internet marketing has impactfully changed the advertising world in the past ten years and will only continue to dominate in our technologically driven world.
